LIABILITY COVERAGE
Insurance and Liability Coverage
R3 Services is committed to maintaining insurance coverage appropriate for its transportation operations and applicable legal and contractual requirements.
Coverage Varies Based on Service Agreement
Applicable insurance coverage may vary depending on the service arrangement and may include:
- Commercial automobile liability
- Bodily injury and property-damage liability
- General liability
- Workers’ compensation, where applicable
- Employer’s liability
- Hired and non-owned automobile coverage, where applicable
- Umbrella or excess liability coverage
- Other coverage required by an executed corporate agreement
Coverage is subject to the terms, conditions, limits, deductibles, exclusions, vehicle schedules, driver eligibility requirements, and other provisions of the applicable insurance policies.
Commercial Automobile Liability
Vehicles used to provide transportation must be covered by insurance appropriate to their ownership and operating arrangement. Commercial automobile liability coverage may respond to covered claims involving bodily injury or property damage arising from an insured vehicle accident, subject to the applicable policy.
Only properly authorized and eligible chauffeurs may operate vehicles used for R3 Services transportation.
General Liability
General liability coverage may apply to certain covered claims arising from R3 Services’ business operations that are not covered under the automobile policy. The availability and extent of coverage depend on the circumstances and applicable policy terms.
Corporate Customer Requirements
R3 Services can work with authorized corporate customers to provide applicable insurance documentation, including a Certificate of Insurance, when appropriate.
Requests involving the following must be reviewed and approved before being accepted:
- Specific insurance limits
- Additional-insured status
- Waiver of subrogation
- Primary and noncontributory wording
- Special endorsements
- Contract-specific indemnification obligations
- Extended reporting or notice requirements
A Certificate of Insurance provides evidence of coverage as of its issuance date but does not independently modify, expand, or replace the terms of the underlying insurance policies.
Independent or Third-Party Transportation Providers
If an authorized affiliate, subcontractor, independent transportation provider, or other third party assists with a trip, that provider may be required to maintain applicable licensing, operating authority, and insurance appropriate for the service.
Coverage for a trip involving another provider depends on the applicable service arrangement, insurance policies, contractual responsibilities, and governing law.
Passenger Responsibilities
Passengers are expected to take reasonable precautions during transportation, including:
- Wearing available seat belts
- Properly securing children
- Following the chauffeur’s reasonable safety instructions
- Providing accurate passenger and luggage information
- Avoiding conduct that creates a safety risk
- Promptly reporting an accident, injury, or damaged property
- Protecting personal belongings
Passengers remain responsible for their personal health insurance, travel insurance, luggage insurance, and other individual coverage. R3 Services does not guarantee coverage for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.
Lost or Damaged Personal Property
Passengers should confirm that all belongings have been removed from the vehicle at the end of the trip.
R3 Services will make reasonable efforts to locate and return reported lost property. However, recovery cannot be guaranteed. Responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged property will be determined based on the circumstances, applicable law, contractual terms, and available insurance coverage.
Shipping or delivery expenses associated with returning an item may be charged to the passenger or customer.
Accidents and Claims
If an accident, injury, or property-damage incident occurs:
- 1. Call 911 when emergency assistance is required.
- 2. Follow the chauffeur’s safety instructions.
- 3. Seek appropriate medical attention.
- 4. Notify R3 Services as soon as reasonably possible.
- 5. Provide accurate information about the incident.
- 6. Preserve relevant photographs, receipts, communications, and other records.
- 7. Cooperate with authorized insurers, investigators, and government authorities.
R3 Services will document the incident and notify the appropriate insurance or service representatives when required. Reporting an incident does not constitute an admission of fault or a guarantee that a claim will be covered.
Limitations and Contractual Terms
Liability for a particular incident is determined by applicable law, the facts of the incident, the confirmed reservation, any executed corporate agreement, and the applicable insurance policies.
Nothing on this website:
- Creates an insurance policy
- Expands existing insurance coverage
- Guarantees payment of a claim
- Establishes fault or liability
- Overrides an executed agreement
- Replaces the terms, limits, conditions, or exclusions of an insurance policy
Insurance coverage and policy limits may change. Current documentation may be provided to authorized corporate customers upon reasonable request and subject to R3 Services’ review.
